How to use this page. -- Trancid 10:32, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

If your question hasn't been answered in the FAQ, or if it is unclear, then you can try asking your question here.

First look if your question hasn't been asked before. If this is the case, then press the 'Add topic' button at the top of this page. Enter the quest name or a description in the subject/headline box and put your question in the main box. When done, first press the 'Show preview' button at the bottom to see how it will look. If you are satisfied, press the 'Save page' button at the bottom.

If your question is already in there, then use the reply option or edit the specific section. Even if your question is answered by that specific part, then please still do this to give us a heads up that the person who asked it originally isn't the only one with that problem. This will ensure that the frequently asked questions will end up in the FAQ itself.

Oh, you might also want to sign it with your name. One of the boxes above the editor will do this for you. In the normal lay-out, it's the box next to the black line. --Trancid 10:32, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

cant log in -- Roadia 01:07, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

when i install it says i did it correctly but the load screen says done loading but the bar doesn't fill. how do i get it to work!?

Re: cant log in

Just to be sure, I assume you mean the loading screen/bar when you create or load a world? Or is it at a different moment? If it's the first, then go to your minecraft folder and open the modloader.txt file to see if there are any errors. Same goes for the millenaire.log file inside the millenaire folder. If these mention any errors, can you post them here please?
Oh, btw, this is kinda the wrong section for your question, since it isn't quest related ;) but I didn't move it to the proper section, because that might have confused you. Just to let you know for the future :) --Trancid 10:38, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Knight and lady living in the Inn -- RdK 21:55, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

well basically I have a second Knight and Lady living in the Inn of my Military village...

is this normal?

Re: Knight and lady living in the Inn -- Trancid 23:29, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't really sound like normal. Sometimes it can be that NPCs are duplicated, but for me this always seemed to be temporary. I assume you already tried quitting Minecraft and restarting it, to see if that resolved anything?

Depth levels -- PokemonBlack1 17:46, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

For the quest of "The Great Dive" I have no clue how far down sea level starts.

If you press the F3-button (on windows that is, don't know about other systems), then you should be able to see some coordinates. Sea level starts at y=64. If I recall correctly, you will need to be roughly 15 blocks beneath this point or something, so y=49ish. Hopefully this will help you. Good luck on the quest. --Trancid 23:21, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

[Sick Child] I have no idea what to give him help! -- MineFreak6m 20:01, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

I have been trying out different thigns to give the kid, but no matter what it I try it never works. Please respond!

oops, it lagged and it spammed, sorry......
Cleared up the accidental spam, if you don't mind. As for the quest, try talking to the mother or child while you have 1 rasgulla in your inventory. You should be able to buy this in any Hindi village. For more info, see the Sick Child quest page. If it doesn't work though, then let us know. Will run some tests then, just in case. --Trancid 23:21, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Completion of First Sadhu Quest -- Amtension 19:41, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

The villagers don't seem to recognize that I've found him...I tried talking to him by right clicking, as with the other villagers, but it doesn't seem to change anything. In fact, he doesn't respond at all to clicks. Please help!

Edit: I'm using the technic pack, by the way.

Re: Completion of First Sadhu Quest -- 77.171.104.1 12:20, 4 July 2012 (CEST)

I have the same issue. I also accidentaly cut down the whole tree by just taking down one wood block does this make the sadhu dissapear 4 ever?

explosive matters: place twenty tnt blocks at the bottom, cover them with obsidian and lite them. -- Sk8er steve 06:03, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

At first, I did this with I dont know how many tnt blocks (it said 19 so I added a couple more and it didn't say anything so i lit it). Now it doesnt tell me a number at all and after I do it (in creative mode so I can level and add bedrock) the alchemist says "you have not met all the conditions" is there a way to restart the quest? or should I make a new borehole?

Re: explosive matters: place twenty tnt blocks at the bottom, cover them with obsidian and lite them. -- Awareqwx 06:49, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

I have found a way. In your .minecraft directory, go to saves/[yourworldhere]/millenaire/quests.txt. In that file, replace quest:alchemist_7_boreholetnt;step:2; with quest:alchemist_7_boreholetnt;step:0;. that should skip you to the beginning of the quest, restarting the quest and giving you another go, and if you place the tnt before you do this, the first check will say you placed enough.

Help Me! -- Sammmooooo 08:48, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

I'm trying to upgrade my village . But the woman who I always give the resources to is not around. I have waited many days to she if she would come back and she has not. It says that the only way villagers can disappear is if you the player kills them. I know for a fact that I did not kill her. I have the Yogbox installed and Mo Creatures on. Would that interfere as some of the animals might attack the villagers. Please respond to this. Thank you

Alchemist missing -- Xelecto 03:51, 17 February 2012 (CET) -- Xelecto 03:51, 17 February 2012 (CET)

I found the alchemist and i back to my city, but now i can't found the alchemist again... i can't see him press "v"...

Re: Alchemist missing -- Xelecto 03:51, 17 February 2012 (CET) -- Trancid 02:30, 4 May 2012 (CEST)

A late response, but this is more for anyone else who encounters this problem as well. In case you have completely lost the location of these important NPCs, then you can check the village list. You can find this list inside .minecraft/saves/<your world>/millenaire. In there, look in the file named villages.txt or lonebuildings.txt. I forgot which one actually hold the location of these special places, but one of the two should have them. On the same line of what you were looking for, there should be something that looks like X/Y/Z, where X, Y and Z are numbers. These are the same coordinates that you see when you press F3 in game. Just head to these numbers, and you should find that special place when it's outside your V range.

Re: Re: Alchemist missing -- Xelecto 03:51, 17 February 2012 (CET) -- Minibomberman 17:33, 11 June 2012 (CEST)

My problem is not exactly the same, but the title might be the same !
The fact is that i made the five first quest of the alchemist, i went back to my village, and when i wanted to met the alchemist again, he wasn't here, just the assistant.
I waited many days and he didn't come back.
please help me  :p
Re: Re: Re: Alchemist missing -- Xelecto 03:51, 17 February 2012 (CET) -- Trancid 23:57, 11 June 2012 (CEST)
What generally helps is save & exit the game and then reloading the world. This should respawn any NPC that has disappeared. (It might/will not work if the NPC is permanently death, only for those who gone invisible/missing.)

Exploring the forest problems -- MIgitman 02:05, 21 April 2012 (CEST)

Sadhu Vidya was in a Jungle and I've been exploring it for 2 nights but I didn't even get to the 5% marker. Do i need to do something differently like find a forest?

Re: Exploring the forest problems -- Trancid 09:23, 21 April 2012 (CEST)

Last time I did this quest, I recall it had to be done in a forest biome. This was 5 months ago though, so it might have changed. However, could you please try exploring a forest biome instead of the jungle biome. (Forest biomes are the one with the normal trees and the white birch trees.)
If that also fails to work, then you've found a bug.

"Exploring the mountains" quest. -- LorenzoNarko 23:21, 2 May 2012 (CEST) --

After accepting the quest and moving into a mountain biome (extreme hills), no progression are showed even if travelling the entire biome. also tried restarting minecraft then doing the quest again the next night, same as before. the biome is almost a 400 blocks area, and ive completed both the desert and forest exploration without any nuisance. hope someone could help me.

Re: "Exploring the mountains" quest.

That sounds rather odd, especially when seeing that the other two explorations went just fine.
Which version of Millenaire are you using at the moment? And if you don't mind, could you copy (the last few lines from) the textfiles actiondata.txt, tags.txt and quests.txt inside the millenaire folder of your world inside your saves folder? --Trancid 09:11, 3 May 2012 (CEST)

Re: Re: "Exploring the mountains" quest. -- LorenzoNarko 21:38, 3 May 2012 (CEST)

Re: "Exploring the mountains" quest. -- LorenzoNarko 20:19, 20 May 2012 (CEST)
Im sorry for havent reply in a while, anyway, after bypassing the quest with the _complete trick ive finally finished the sadhu. thanks for the help :)

just another question, upgrading millenaire just like minecraft at every release will wreck my world, or every update is compatible with older ones?

Re: "Exploring the mountains" quest.
'fixed' yer mistake ;) As for the new question, Millenaire tends to be incompatible quite often with previous versions to be honest. It all depends on the update if it will wreck your world. Generally speaking, if there is a building or town update, and you already have that town, then yes, chances are high it will wreck it. Best way to go at it, is the same as with Minecraft updates. Back up your saved worlds, try out the update and if it fails and you liked the old saves too much, revert back to it.
=Re: Re: "Exploring the mountains" quest. -- LorenzoNarko 13:43, 21 May 2012 (CEST)=
Thanks for fixing my error!

i will try to update because ive encountered a massive bug on a mayan militaire village, the builder is stuck at "getting resources" and then a "building" text will randomly flash, to revert at "getting resources" state after half a second.. this will prevent my village to grow properly. i wont start a new world because i will delete like 6 months of work! that save is pretty old :)

Sadhu Vidya is dead, how do I get him back? -- S051 01:09, 31 May 2012 (CEST) -- S051 01:09, 31 May 2012 (CEST)

I've tried relogging and restarting minecraft, but the sadhu is definitely dead. I came back after exploring the forest and all the items I gave him for the botanical quest were lying on the ground... I know the question has been asked, and is in the FAQ, but it is the only question in the FAQ that HASN'T been answered. Is there any way to bring him back, or make him force-respawn? (or something similar?)

Re: Sadhu Vidya is dead, how do I get him back? -- S051 01:09, 31 May 2012 (CEST) -- Trancid 23:56, 11 June 2012 (CEST)

I'm afraid you will have to consult Kinniken on how to respawn villagers/NPCs. I don't know if he checks this page, but you might want to try the forums if your post here isn't answered.

Re: Re: Sadhu Vidya is dead, how do I get him back? -- S051 01:09, 31 May 2012 (CEST) -- Luluco250 03:38, 20 June 2012 (CEST)

Well, if he fell from a hill or got killed by a monster he will respawn, however if you killed him plus used the Wand of Negation (I think that's the name) then he will not respawn. Actually, in the old versions of Millenáire (previous to the Wand of Negation) he will not respawn if YOU have killed him. Good luck trying to respawn him!

explosive matters, quest glitch -- Warbot 00:23, 15 July 2012 (CEST)

well attempting the creation quest for the forth time im up to the explosive matters quest, but for some reason in isn't working, i've re-made the bomb and blast shield a few times now ive already broken a diamond pick and half of my second one re-placing obsidian. the text that tells me if im on the right track stoped tellng me if i was doing it right.

i am worried that i might have to start again, and re do the majority of the quest again, along with lossing all my other game achievments.

please help

Re: explosive matters, quest glitch

What does your setup look like? For example, is it a layer of TNT all at the same height, as well as the obsidian, or is the TNT touching the bedrock everywhere? (If I recall correctly, it should be the latter.) -- Trancid 01:38, 15 July 2012 (CEST)

Re: Re: explosive matters, quest glitch -- Warbot 02:21, 15 July 2012 (CEST)

I have tried both, a flat layer of tnt, and a jaged layer both dont seem to work.

i also tryed re-starting the quest, by putting step 2 back too step 0, but the result is the same. i am useing technic pack if that helps

i dont want to, but will skiping the task work?

Re: Re: Re: explosive matters, quest glitch --Trancid 07:19, 15 July 2012 (CEST)
Odd. Well, I can't say if it's caused by the technic pack, or by something else. (Don't know which version of Millenaire the Technic pack uses, so cannot perform any easy tests.)
As for skipping the task, you can make the game believe that you have successfully lit the TNT by adding "action_boreholetntlit_complete" to the tags.txt file in .minecraft/saves/<yourworld>/millenaire/.
