Is it ok if I completely restart the mod compatibility pages? I would like to do this because it hasn't been updated for ages :( So I kept trying to get Mo' Creatures working with Millenaire...

The overview page has too many spelling and gramatical Errors to list and is in serious need of updating. It was last updated 8 months ago and it seems that only you can update it as i don't have permission to update it I can only view the source. Either make it so it can be updated by normal users or update yourself and fix all the errors. It is used a lot by people but it is giving them outdated information or some information is missing.

Could you upload the Icons for the new items such as the Yumi bow all the japanese armour sets. i would like to make pages about them but its a bit hard withpout the icons and I can't find them in my Millenaire folder. I would like them as the actual .png file, not a screenshot taken out of minecraft. It would also be good if you could put the item id for each item in the desription of the image.

All the Millénaire graphics are in the zip file (millenaire2.7.7.zip). The item ids are given in the itemlist.txt file, have a look.

Basically, what the title says.

Main reason for asking is his huge list of contributions, activeness and ability to find spambot pages. (I dislike removing his 'contribution' of clearing a page by deleting it.)

On a sidenote, I've got no clue if Lemonater would actually want these rights, but I feel that it's safe and pretty useful for him in regard to finding bots and doing other wiki related stuff. --Trancid 01:13, 22 July 2012 (CEST)

Ok, so i basically have the pages the way I want except for a few things. I don't know what to put into the info-box at the top right of each page. Any Suggestions?

Also when I get the Byzantine page done I plan to format the Culture main page (separate to the category) which will link to all the Culture Pages. The link to the Culture Main Page will go on the Front Page of this wiki and replace the Villagers, Towns, Items, and Buildings link.

After that I plan to go through all the Village (towns) pages (then buildings and items) and format them to fit the new typography.

I hope you approve of this, and feel free to tweak anything you think is off.

You mean the info box of the culture pages themselves? Not sure either. You could always not put one. BTW, Ticlon is the main author of the Byzantines, not me. And yes please go ahead, I'll check it out when you're done and let you know if there's anything I feel should be changed. Thanks for the work.

One thing i will need help with is replacing the N/A material on the pages below with valid data. I prefer not going about with a norman pickaxe counting how many blocks it can break.

by the way: after making the Norman Parchment page, I realize that some of the info is outdated and may need to be changed in future updates. Minor problem so not much of a priority.

For the costs you can check them out in the traded_goods.txt files of each culture. For the rest here it is:

Norman tools except hoe: strength 12 (diamond is 8), durability and enchanting like iron. Hoe: identical to diamond version.

Norman armour: same protection & enchantment than diamond, twice the durability.

Norman broadsword: strength 15 (diamond is 8), rest like diamond

Taichi Sword: same as iron sword but with 20% chance of doing 3 times the damage

Mayan Mace: strength 6, durability like diamond, enchantability of 25

Obsidian tools: diamond durability, strength 6, enchantability 25 except hoe that is identical to diamond

Yumi bow: fires twice as fast as normal bow, 50% more damage

Japanese warrior armour (red or blue): same as iron, but enchantability of 25

Japanese guard armour: same as chain, but enchantability of 25

Byzantine armour: same as diamond, but enchatability of 20

Byzantine mace: durability 120, strength 10, enchantability 25, starts with knockback II

That should be it.

I noticed that the requirements section for 'Palace' (Mahal) broke over the last 24 hours. It used to list all the materials and now shows nothing. You might want to look into that.

I've been trying to update the version history page. Unfortunately, a user named "Ipodsoft" is continually reverting changes to an old version including spam links placed by him.

Please block him or anything, I don't wanna clean this up every day.

Hey Kinniken, I'm working on a tool to automatically ban spammers. Just to make sure, please give me permission to use it. (I had that idea after realizing that obviously over 90% of this forum's users are spam bots.)

Related question: Is it only possible to ban/block users or is it also possible to delete them? Considering the high spam bot rate amongst all users a delete function would make sense.

a) I can only use my own possibilitites - changing the wiki's plugins does *not* belong to them. b) Captchas aren't a 100% secure way either. (and c) such a tool is finished quicker than Kinniken's reply to this discussion)
edit: Uh well, and d) a captcha can help against future spammers, sure, but my intention also is to clean up the forum

As a regular user, I appreciate the work you both do to this wiki, Morok and Mitrill. Compare the captcha security between minecraftwiki and millenaire wiki. Spambots can easily read plain text, but they have way much more trouble reading images - especially where you have to select multiple images to sign up. Result? Hey guys. Mitrill: Yes, I am sure my "torpedos" will only hit spammers. Any details posted here would make the tool useless, though. (Kinniken can still ask me about details via mail.) Minken: Great example of a captcha, didn't know that one. Though, I don't have access to change the wiki's source, so my tool is the best we can get at this point. Let's see how Kinniken sees the matter, a captcha for prevention surely would be the best way.

Sorry for the inactivity on this, I've been very busy... I've just replaced the old qustion-based captcha with the "kitten" one used by the MC wiki. I hope it helps! And thanks for the cleaning-up work.

I've made you admin, feel free to delete spam pages if you have time... It looks like the new captcha hasn't improved matters. Either it's being added manually or the Asirra captcha is broken. Do you know of any better one?

Yes, do IP-block (though I don't think it works terribly well). I'll look into reCAPTCHA.
I've checked this new banhammer, then I opened "recent changes" and... Is there any way to clear all that history mess? I'm the one who see it? Or any admin/anyone see it? --Mitrill 01:32, 3 August 2013 (CEST)

Answer pending, I already asked the same before (see above) ;-) About the recent changes page: I think I recognized that changes made by blocked users are omitted in this page, so it is cleared up when banning users. -- Morok
