[RELEASED]Norman buildings improvement
I've begun to improve the look of the normand buildings without changing (very much) their size and names.
You can check the few ones I've made so far on this video, sorry for the bad french accent : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amOjaf5zsj4
Please tell me your advice and opinion about it !

Re: Norman buildings improvement
I really like the how you used the two different types of wooden stairs for the roof of the buildings! I also really liked the (I think) last upgraded church. If you would like, you could put this on the Library.

Thank you ! I'm really proud of my church...
How can I put these on the library ? It must be an admin's job ?
I have forgotten to say that I'm using purebd craft texture pack.

Re: Norman buildings improvement
Well anyone can put content on the Library, and after it is confirmed by an admin, then it will be available to the public. All you need to do is copy all of the files and what not that you changed, then put all of that into a downloadable file. It is pretty simple but I can walk you through it if you would like.

Re: Norman buildings improvement
Ok, I'll do when I'll have done more stuff, thank you.
Re: Norman buildings improvement
18 buildings made so far (inn, tavern, armoury, forge, watchtower, bakery, guardhouse, carpenterhouse, player small and large houses, player estate, market, largefountain, archives, church, presbytery and alchemy workshop and the fort). The buildings are just different in the way they look (sometimes in the size) but not in the way they act (I hope so).
You can download them here
Innstallation : extract the .zip in this folder : .minecraft\mods\millenaire-custom\cultures\norman\custom buildings
Warning : do not use those buildings with your previously existing saves ! It may corrupt your villages !
I'd appreciate any advices and bug report (I didn't test every building on a long period).
Some buildings require unusual ressources for Normands (pin wood mostly, a little bit of birch wood and netherack).
You may need a little more space than usual cause some buildings are slightly larger than the default ones.
you can increase (if you want) gros-bourg radius (in the file .minecraft\mods\millenaire\cultures\norman\villages\grosbourg.txt) or don't build some player buildings (the fields for instance).
The buildings have been made using purebdcraft texture pack (but it's ok with the default pack).
You can download purebdcraft texture pack here : http://bdcraft.net/downloads
And if you want some HD textures in purebdcraft way, you can downoad this file :http://rapidshare.com/share/95EFD5F1307 ... 2FAF332AA6.
Just extract it in minecraft\mods\millenaire-jar-5.1.11\assets\millenaire\textures (after saving the original files in it,just in case...). I have also had a new texture for the Normand's armor.

Re: Norman buildings improvement
I've finished all the Normand buildings ! They seem to work propermy but there can remain some bugs.
So be careful, save your world before any change.
You can download the buildings here.
I'll soon add it to the Library (it's waiting to be validated)
Installation : extract the .zip in this folder : .minecraft\mods\millenaire-custom\cultures\norman\custom buildings

Re: Norman buildings improvement
Heads up: there's a vanilla millenaire Norman farm_A5 in there, best remove it if you don't want wonky upgrade shenanigans.
Re: Norman buildings improvement
Thanks for the info.
Re: Norman buildings improvement
This may be an obvious question so I'm sorry if it's been asked but these are replacements for existing norman village buildings right? Not separate norman village spawns alongside the other norman villages?

These are replacements, but if you rename them they can be separate.zohar101 wrote:This may be an obvious question so I'm sorry if it's been asked but these are replacements for existing norman village buildings right? Not separate norman village spawns alongside the other norman villages?

Re: Norman buildings improvement
Is there any chances that my files in the library is confirmed by an admin ?
