How to start Mayan creation quest?

Hi, I have a mayan military village where I have the reputation: Friend of the Village.
However the chief does not offer me the creation quest. I have already done the creation quest for the normans. Why does he not offer it to me? Thank you for any help!

Did you check the wiki first?

According to this you get the quest from a shaman, not a chief.
