Civilization Capitals

Hello, I am a new user to this forum, and I don't usually participate in the Forums section on any website, but last night I noticed something on Minecraft. I started a new world, went to a Japanese Village and saw that there was a quest for the "Queen" of the Japanese Village. If you don't know or remember, she asks for you to acquire some items for her so she can write to her sister in the Capital. I thought to myself, "Hey, wait a second. There are capitals that are not incorporated into the game." So I waited until I got home today from work and remembered this idea. I was thinking that there could be walls, possibly more capital-exclusive shops, and if it could be possible, maybe some culturally exclusive pets (i.e. Japanese Akitas, Shiba Inus, ...). I haven't though about this for a while, but I felt like I should raise awareness to this, as I believe it would be amazing, but I would understand if the work would be too much. Thank you for reading this.

Edit: Another thing popped in my mind. Culturally exclusive restaurants to go in the capitals.

This is quite a while since you posted but I feel that you're onto something. However, what I would suggest is that it's more of a special village with capital building for the town center, and the village would be the main village of a set of hamlets. The main reason is that the hamlet system is already there and it can make the main village seem more like a city with the hamlets as "suburbs." Somewhat like how a large city will have other townships that it touches.

I remember a walled Norman city was created for an earlier version, but something similar might work somewhat well for this type of idea (I don't really want it because I always find it fun to build a custom wall for villages).

I don't know if it's possible (because the mod spawns villages based on a weighted system) but having a chance of only one of these types of villages spawning per culture.

I support this idea because it would add something special to the mod. I agree that some other cultures would be cool but I like this idea because it expands on the ones that are already available, just by adding one new kind of village. The main thing would be the leader, because it's supposed to be the "ruler of the culture," and how to get that to work. Perhaps they have a higher chance of daily relations to improve with their own culture without player intervention? Just throwing out ideas based on what I know of the mod capabilities at the moment. If any of these are too difficult or just plain impossible, then I guess we'll just have to keep RPing.

In a hushed whisper: "Don't tell anyone I told you this: Culture Capitals are in the plans for 7.0.0"

Here's the lowdown on Capitals as it stands right now:

There will only be one per culture per world. The Hindi and Mayan capitals can coexist, for example, but you'll never see more than one Hindi capital.

Capitals will have a chance to spawn in the world after 3 villages of their culture have spawned. Every village past 3 increases the chances of the capital spawning.

Capitals will NEVER, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, be player controlled.

Capitals will provide items, equipment, and Epic Level quests that you can't get anywhere else.

Capitals won't make their own materials, but will buy/sell and trade with other villages of their cultures.

We also plan on weaving the capitals into the reworked Creation Quests, as well as many other facets of gameplay.

Will they replace the Independent villages?
