To be fair, Bandit Villages are going to require him changing the code anyways, regardless of how he does it. It could just be a new village type that says they are bandits, has bandit skins, but are not inherently hostile to the player without any code changes. That feels like cheating. :P Just sa...

Ultimately, we're trying to agree on the best way to implement the idea of "Bandit Villages," should they ever be added.
The dev says that he likes the idea, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get added in the 1.8 update.

Sorry for the double post, but here's something else that we need:

The power to summon bandit camps/forts with the summoning wand. Even if it's only in Creative mode, I'd like to have that option, just so I can have that option. :)

I tried looking at Millenaire's files, opening them up in Netbeans (a Java IDE), and honestly, I've never seen any code of the sort before. So, until it gets translated, I can't do anything about it.

Cultures themselves can't be set as initially hostile; they start out neutral, plus or minus bonuses due to your interaction with other villages in their relation area. I think that the Raid code needs improvement as well. I once had a Byzantine raid against a Japanese village, and the raiders just stood in a clump on the edge of town and really didn't do anything. I had to lead the Japanese defenders to the raiders before any fighting took place.

It'd be a nice, little tweak. A simple mod option should make it toggleable.

But, you do realize that the text is simply a giant string of characters in certain files, right? It's not like they can just "flip" the gender of a pronoun by just pressing a button in the code somewhere.

I would actually like to see a Bandit town. One that is hostile to everyone (and you, of course), but functions just like any other village. Bonus points if you're able to do something to gain their trust. More points if there was some way to bring them out of their bandit ways. And about the bit ab...
