I finally managed to add Pumpkins to the buy list for the Hindi culture. You have to edit BOTH the traded_goods.txt file AND the Townhall.txt file for the culture. Indian and Japanese villages need significant amounts of white wool, even though neither culture raises sheep as far as I can tell (at least in the game, I haven't checked whether that's historically accurate). There are already plans for using these new features but sadly a water culture is very difficult as Millenaire just doesn't work on the water, but the Inuits and Japanese cultures are very sea-savvy and they are going to be using the new 1.13 updates heavily I imagine.

Actually, when I was testing this, I tried to make a custom blocktypes.txt that would set water as a ground block and remove it from the "liquid" and "artificial" block types, but it still showed as water on the village map. I never got around to tracking down why that didn't work, but think about ...

Millenaire really likes the day/night cycle, personally I sometimes dig a hole just outside of town and bury myself then leave for an hour or two so I can come back and sleep like normal lol

Maybe even make it culture specific, if he does that then an aquatic culture like the native Hawaiians could be added and only the native Hawaiians would build on water with everyone else not.

You can add foods to shops in the Millenaire files if you go to the shop building text files and add the foods with costs for purchase and sell.

But... they would need to be able to produce the food. Which you can do by adding goals to produce food.

Might I suggest the Rus? They're also a Norse-infleunced culture that developed along Russia's rivers. They'd be more distinct from the Normans than the Scandinavian Norse.
