Re: Galian's weekly Update Post
Hey guys, I have been absolutely swamped, haven't even been home a good portion of the previous couple weeks, but I've been working when I can. Figured I'd show guys one of the things I've been working on, by popular demand (or at least Ticlon's demand): https://static.wixstatic.com/media/81328d_f35...

Where to begin ... I'd love to take you out for a night of good food and drinks! Helps me when work and life gets me down. Alas, I have no idea where Ry'leh is. Galian's weekly Update Post
Hey guys, Sorry to have left you in the dark, I've been just trying to work as hard as I can. I figured what I will do is, I'll set this thread up, and I'll give you guys an update every Saturday just so you don't worry that nothing is happening. Note that I'm still not really reading the forums (be...

Also, do we know if anyone's updated the French forum to what's going on? I can't speak a lick of French, but I do see that side is active lately as well, hoping they know the mod is being worked on. Some of us can speak and/or understand english so we have the informations ;) Awesome! Thank you Bi...

Re: Changes for the next update!
As for an ETA, I'm really not sure. My first estimations were based on me spending all of my evenings coding for a few weeks/a month and doing nothing else. However, since I made those estimations I have: - Suddenly gotten a new, and more complex job. - Found myself single and living alone. - Been a...

Re: Changes for the next update!
Yeah the original idea of this thread was to be small changes I could implement as I updated to 1.8.9 (like Byzantine Tile Stairs or making the path blocks match the grass path from 1.9). There are a lot of really good, big ideas in the community, I love the idea of stables, Bandit Villages, marriag...

Hey Guys, Sorry I've been scarce these past couple weeks. Just got a new Job! Super exciting, offer came kind of out of the blue, but its a good move and I'm looking forward to it. However, dealing with all that transition-y stuff dramatically ate into my free time, and what little I've had I've bee...

Wow, you guys have been discussing a lot in my absence...I love it. - Spawning tamed animals is possible, its not even difficult to code, its in the NBT when you spawn it (there's a "type" tag and if you select the right type, its already tamed; you can do this yourself in vanilla Minecraft with the...

Re: Changes for the next update!
A solution could be more than one villager building at once since realistically, 1 person did not build things. You can believe in dragons, zombies, and a world made of blocks, but can't fathom why only one villager can build at a time? Screw realism, this is Minecraft! Seriously, it just saves pro...

http://millenaire.org/wiki/Guide_on_exporting_buildings_from_the_game Hmm....That changes everything. Re: Changes for the next update!
Each house/building should also have a chest/stone with a book for data. The idea was that if the game crashed and the normal saved data was lost it should still be possible for the mod to recover the data from the books (with a little help from the player) .This idea is probably not so useful anym...

So since I'm looking at a significant amount of work to bring that system in anyway, I'm consideirng how to make it better. I didn't mean being dependent on those mods o_O I meant it as an add-on, if you have them installed, it would be an option. I was thinking of new buildings and upgrades to buildings, just they become available after the Shrine, like I said, it would be similar to the Research buildings in a game lik...

Windows 10 is for laptops that are weak. Remember when Windows though tablets were what everyone wants and made their new OS for tablets only but with minor desktop computer capabilities? Re: Millénaire for Minecraft 1.8 - status update
Here's my two cents on the topic of horses, all cultures except the Maya (and Inuits?) should have a stable. The Maya didn't use horses, historically, as they had none! They had llamas, but llamas are more beasts of burden than "mighty steeds." I don't know about the Inuits, but tameable reindeer w...

What? How is buying a player house change building behavior? Once a village is fully built buying a player house does nothing, they will build no more. Re: Millénaire for Minecraft 1.8 - status update
For the clothing system: I bet Kinniken implemented it in the rendering files of the villager models. As I only...

Indeed. One of the things I want to see if we can do is to "even out" the cultures a bit. I do like the banner idea, picturing it and it would be a nice touch. I haven't even looked at the code for banners yet, but I'll need to examine decorative entities at some point, as I'm sure people would like for the Millenaire tapestries, icons, etc. to actually work again.

If you built it with something like Highlands or BoP in mind (that have Volcano/Lava biomes), the trick would be to make the Lava Lake part of the building, similar to the Japanese Fishing Hut.

the usage of the new banners to add a special random generated flag for each village. GalianRyu, take note of this, as that would be an absolutely awesome minor cosmetic addition to all villages.
