This is an addon that adds a loose representation of 11th century Al-Andalus to the game cause the Seljuks seem a bit lonely. Will you help the Andalusians prosper or will you join the Reconquista to pillage and plunder? The choice is yours.
Thanks to Ultra Shibe for the item textures and thanks to Hana and Snowball for helping during early development. Hana also worked on some farm variants. Special thanks to Lunaros and LukyLucaz for letting me use their skins for the villager textures. Check them out at https://www.planetminecraft.com/
Finally, thanks to MoonCutter2B for helping me polish this addon
===INSTRUCTIONS===
After unpacking the file and after you have opened the folder, you should see another folder and a .jar file. Just put the al-andalus_culture folder in minecraft\mods\millenaire-custom\mods and paste the .jar file into your minecraft mod folder. The mod already contains all of the skins so don't worry about having to use a resourcepack
* Make sure you create a new world after updating. Old worlds which have villages from an older version might break if you load an update. Glazed terracotta currently isn't supported by millenaire but is used in some townhall upgrades. In order to make these upgrades possible, see my comment below for the solution.
===FEATURES===
- 4 uncontrolled village type
- A lone building fishing "village"
- A randomly generated lone mosque similar to the Byzantine lone monastery
- 7 other lone buildings
- A controlled village and an option to have walls
- Custom Banners
- Modded content (Custom weapons, armor, blocks, and food)
- Quests
- Market mercenaries
- Custom panel texture
===PLANNED===
*when millenaire gets ported to newer versions
- Large town village type with hamlets
- Great Mosque Marvel
- Creation Quest
Bug reports and suggestions would be much appreciated. Feel free to help with translations too if you'd like. I used google translate for the Arabic so it probably won't be that accurate and we only have english translations at the moment.
===CHANGLOG===
2/8/21 — Added custom villager config, corrected a typo in the bandit quest, fixed the armor points (helmets now have more armor than boots), and bandits no longer wander too far from camp to prevent despawning
5/12/21 — Removed WIP tag and added skins from Lunaros and LukyLucaz
6/1/21 — Fixed MoonCutter's issues (see comments)
6/2/21 — Added MoonCutter's other suggestions (note: Hopefully, the wall problem will be solved after I added a required village tag for the wall upgrades and lowered the priorities. The brickkiln tag was removed from stonecrafter and added to painterhouse.)
6/9/21 — Added MoonCutter's other other suggestions (balanced production and distribution and fixed some path finding issues). Missing lines in the travelbook and new skins for the female villagers were also added.
7/1/21 — A few fixes courtesy of MoonCutter (villages spawn more frequently, more production fixes, added small oak grove, tweaked trading village TH and fixed missing strings)
7/18/21 — Changed title (this should work for versions above 8.1.0)

Can't believe no one's commented on this one yet. This is amazing. Out of curiosity, do you have a list of changes from the update on 05/04/2021?

Hey Nice Addon Thank You. By the Way does anybody have info ? Is there an upcoming update for the mod itself or it is dead ?

There is a bug in the mod. There are types of terracota required for Fortress upgrade that are non exsistant in the game

I can also confirm that there is an issue with building materials. The Masjid Kabir Great Mosque requires multiple types of brown and white terracotta and the icon for each is just purple squares.

Amazing! But with a few issues: - townhall limit for glazed blocks are too high, 64 is enough - townhall limit for carved woodblock states wrong block - the quarries produce too little sandstone - the stone crafter should have required good, sandstone = 64 or more - the deliverto for sandstone_carved to the townhall is missing

More: - maybe delay the start of upgrading the walls a bit so that they can use the sandstone for buildings. A tag should work or wait with adding extra builders. - the wooden wall outside the fort is a huge problem for the villagers to navigate, they get stuck trying to teleport through it instead of walking around. If if was 2 blocks thick it would work (I think) - the two doors on the side of the Fort is also a problem to pass for the villagers, they think they have to open them and get stuck for days. - they made a path right through the little nice garden destroying most of the grass and flowers. Add an "nopath" setting to avoid paths inside building. Might be others that need that too. - I created a new minestoneandalus that the miner uses and changed loot to 4 on that and same for minesandstoneandalus so that they get more of each. - I lowered the prio on minesandstoneandalus to 35 +-10 so that he has a chance to mine some of the other stuff he has on his list. - some other villager is using the stonecrafters furnace to cook indian bricks, and he wants to cook stone. unsure how to solve that I added a new goal "cookmudbrick" that the painter uses to cook mud bricks at home + "tendfurnace" and requiredgood for some extra wood, now he is happily doing his stuff at home. - Armyforge is missing a requiredgood=wool_white,16
