[edit] Programming a Village/Building Editor

Saveleft.jpg
Hi i read the guides for creating buildings and villages. It is already easy to do but something like an editor would certainly not difficult to program.

A friend and I already started working on it. My idea is based on a building-editor with layers for the height of the building. This uses a block list that is expandable. Options for vilages could also be added.

I am still a beginner at programming in C# and the graphical representation is difficult for me. I take all the help I can get ;)

Sorry for my translation (edited slightly by reader)

[edit] Updates

Currently, it is possible to load buildings, to save and create a new one. However, with 30 in the length and width and 15 layers ,at the same time that what the maximum size is. With smaller dimensions, it created no files and only one error message. I would like now to give only the developers of the mod because it has more bugs than letters in the name (it still has no name: D)

A small preview to imagine. Right now we are stuck with the method to draw but if that is done nothing stands in our way for an Alpha.

So far so good, the editor is nearly half completed. It only lacks the create image file and the edit graphic in the window. The program works with the mod included block list that contains the color for each block, so should there be a patch with new blocks for the same list format there will be no problem.
